Established in 2017 by Managing Director Shane Aherne in Adelaide, ModelFarm became a partnership in 2022 with VFX Supervisor Rangi Sutton launching the Brisbane premises. The result of a twenty year friendship of industry veterans, ModelFarm leadership is more than the sum of its parts.

They have built a studio of exceptional artists and extended the studio’s capability beyond VFX, making real-world use of real time technology and virtual production. There’s a hunger to punch above their weight, and that appetite has drawn many incredible VFX artists into their fold.

Rangi and Shane have proven credentials, with leadership roles in many feature films. They know their craft. At the same time ModelFarm prides itself on being on the cusp of creative technology. As a boutique there is the ability to adopt new tools and workflows that can advantage shows with more unique requirements.
