A round-up of what’s happening in film and television in South Australia:

CHANGES AT SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S FILM CORP.

South Australian Film Corporation Executives Beth Neate and Melissa Eldridge have been appointed in acting roles following Amanda Duthie’s departure as Head of Production, Development, Attraction and Studios.

Beth Neate is acting Head of Production and Development, with responsibility for all development programs and production investment funds.

Melissa Eldridge is Acting Studios Manager looking after strategy and bookings for Adelaide Studios.

The SAFC will undertake a selection process for the roles in the new year.

THE HUNTING

Hit South Australian made series The Hunting continues to draw international interest, with the four-part drama set to air in France after being acquired by broadcaster M6. France is the seventh country to acquire the series, by Adelaide-based Closer Productions, after previous sales in the UK, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, Canada, Russia and the Netherlands.

2019 AUSTRALIANS IN FILM GALA & AWARDS

South Australia was strongly represented at the 2019 Australians in Film Awards in Los Angeles last October, with Adelaide director Anthony Maras (Hotel Mumbai) and actor Sarah Snook (Succession) winning Screen Australia Breakthrough Awards recognising their international screen achievements.

Also present at the awards was Adelaide actor Tilda Cobham-Hervey (Hotel Mumbai, I Am Woman) and Adelaide born producer Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies).
