Screenwest has revealed updates to its Production Guidelines and Terms of Trade where production funding will now be contracted as a grant.
Screenwest Chair Janelle Marr said, “We are excited to be unveiling a grant-based model that is in clear alignment to our recent change to a not-for-profit structure. We hope this model will make Western Australian practitioners more competitive amongst the screen landscape and allow for significant production growth.”
The move has been supported by industry stakeholders, including one of Screenwest’s key funding partners, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
It is expected that this simplified funding model will:
- Foster more sustainable screen businesses
- Attract more productions to Western Australia
- Grow production and employment levels within Western Australia
- Streamline contracting processes
The updated Terms of Trade are now available on the Screenwest Publications Page.
