South Australian Film Corp

Celebrating 40 years of Independent Filmmaking in 2012.

For 40 years the South Australian Film Corporation has been bringing our state’s passion and professionalism for film and television production to the attention of content producers worldwide.

Over this period the state has hosted hundreds of film and television projects, including Australian classics such as Breaker Morant, Picnic at Hanging Rock, and Shine, internationally renowned television series McLeod’s Daughters and cult favourites Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and more recently Wolf Creek, to name just a few.

The state’s hard-earned reputation as Australia’s home of independent filmmaking has been built on its stunning and accessible locations, professional crews, and a collaborative, bespoke approach that differentiates us from other agencies. We are keen to work closely with you to meet your unique project needs, whether they be across crew, cast, studio facilities or locations, alongside a tailored approach to accessing our production incentives.

In mid-2011 our new home in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs was officially opened.

State-of-the-art studios including sound stages, production offices, 96-seat screening theatre and mixing facilities. That means everything under one roof, as well as easy access to our world renowned post production and visual effects businesses.

So now more than ever, South Australia offers you a production destination that can deliver at every stage of the filmmaking process.

We trust that our track record in supporting creative excellence in film and television production in Australia over many years, and our investment in the future of the sector through Adelaide Studios, will have you looking south for your next production.
