Screen Queensland

Queensland is a significant growing force in Australia’s film industry. Screen Queensland, the Queensland Government agency responsible for supporting a creative, innovative and commercially sustainable screen industry in the State, assists writers, producers and directors to generate ideas that entertain and connect with worldwide audiences. Support of the industry is delivered through screen funding programmes that encompass development, production, investment, marketing, production attraction and locations scouting and assistance.

In supporting the local industry, Screen Queensland also works to attract interstate and international productions to the region and has an enviable track record – hardly surprising given the stunning locations, talented crew, world-class infrastructure (including Village Roadshow Studios) and attractive financial incentives.

Screen Queensland offers professional, specialist locations services to long form film and television production. This ranges from pictures presentations based on locations breakdowns to guidance and assistance with other State authorities and may also include financial assistance for scouting throughout the State.

Beyond production, Screen Queensland is committed to celebrating screen culture for and with Queensland audiences throughout the year and across all regions. The highlight of Screen Queensland’s screen culture calendar is the St. George Bank Brisbane International Film Festival.

Testimonial quote from international client: Queensland’s  sunny weather, friendly people, talented crew and great production  facilities have made filming a breeze. The local councils and Screen  Queensland have supported us from the very early stages of production. We can’t wait to bring more projects to such a film-friendly  state.
